Somewhere along the fourth or fifth iteration of the Kevin’s Pub website, I invented The Spaniel and Budgie as a proper British-sounding name just in case the name “Kevin’s Pub” never took off. (If you read the tragic history, you will realize this was a valid concern.)
I suppose that means I should have renamed the website to The Spaniel and Budgie immediately, but it was bad enough having that stupid “_” in the domain name without having an ampersand, instead.
Actually, I created The Spaniel and Budgie after I created the photo collage shown here. The Spaniel in this case was Bubba Elvis Gilhooly and the Budgie was Basil Fawlty Gilhooly. Both have crossed the bridge, unfortunately. This photo was one of my first attempts at doing something “interesting” in Photoshop Elements. I called it a “bird dog.” Get it?
